INFOSHEET DEUTSCHzwischen der produktion eines neuen, tollen mixes von ellen allien (fabric34 / mai 2007) und ihren zahlreichen dj-sets und festivalauftritten, fand ellen sogar noch zeit, ins studio zu gehen und einen neuen track zu produzieren.
“go” ist eine anlehnung an ihren allerersten track “just let the groove go” von 1994 und nimmt die vocals als grundlage für eine moderne, etwas düstere und doch ätherische version. ergebnis ist ein weiterer allien-typischer dance/tech-track.
marcel dettmann, ein fan von “just let the groove go”, spielt diesen track nach wie vor in seinen dj-sets und war sofort von ellens idee begeistert, eine neue, auf dem vocal-sample basierende version davon zu machen.
beide versionen haben zwar dasselbe vocal-sample im zentrum des tracks, legen aber unterschiedliche beats darunter - ellen allien hypnotisch-luftige, trockene, marcel dettmann eher dub tech à la hardwax - und geben so dem track jeweils eine andere farbe.
beide versionen werden aber mit sicherheit die tänzerherzen und hände höher fliegen lassen!

“go” is an allusion to her very first track “just let the groove go” (1994) and uses the vocals as the basis for a modern, rather dark but ethereal new version. the result is once more an allien-like dance/tech track.
marcel dettmann, a fan of “just let the groove go”, still plays this track in his sets and immediately agreed on distributing his own version of that track.
both versions use the same vocal sample as a center point but combine it with different beats - ellen allien goes for rather hypnotic, airy and dry beats, marcel dettmann for dub tech à la hardwax. this way each track has its own character and colour.
but stilll - both versions will get the hearts of the dancers and their hands flying!
